DANIEL C MOORE JR.'s Obituary
Mr. Daniel C. Moore, Jr. of Gumboro, DE passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 24, 2016. He was 56 years old.
Mr. Moore was born in Seaford, DE on April 6, 1960 to the late Daniel C. Moore, Sr. and Ruth Ann Penuel Moore who survives him.
Danny worked as a feed truck driver for Mountaire for the past 20 years. He always said he would work till he died and that is just what he did. He worked Saturday morning and passed away Saturday afternoon.
He was a hard worker and did what he had to do to support his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a 1979 graduate of Indian River High School. He was a member of the Church of the Chesapeake Bay (Inside Joke). That is what he would say if he went out on the boat on Sunday morning. He loved horses and horseback riding. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Moore and her companion Jack Mitchell of Dagsboro, DE; his wife of 24 years, Patricia Lewis Moore of Gumboro, DE; three sons; Daniel C. "Clay" Moore, III and his wife Beverly of Roxana, DE; Travis Edward Moore and Kyle Andrew Moore both of Gumboro, DE; two brothers, Wayne Moore and his wife Teresa of Seaford, DE; Steve Moore of Dagsboro, DE; a sister, Linda Mitchell and her husband Dave of Dagsboro, DE; along with three grandchildren, Dyland Dorey, Emily Moore and Zachary Moore. He is also survived by extended family and friends including all of his friends from Mountaire.
