Daniel Edward Tracy's Obituary
Mr. Daniel Edward Tracy of Gumboro, DE passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019. He was 83 years old.
Mr. Tracy was born in Woodlawn, MD to the late George H. and Elva Whitehead Tracy. Dan worked as a Machinist for NCR and later was the owner/operator of the Gumboro Store from 1973 to the mid 1980's. He was a member of the Gumboro Fire Company, Selbyville Elks Lodge, Laurel American Legion and the Burnt Swamp Sportsman Association. Dan was a straight forward type of person. You always knew where you stood with him. He enjoyed day trips, collecting miniature model race cars and antique cars, and spending time with his family. Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Clara Mae Evans of Gumboro, DE; 10 children; Ruth Ann Gran of Ocean City, MD; Danny Tracy, Jr. (Joan) of Ocean View, DE; Joan White (Michael) of Millsboro, DE; Bryan Tracy (Teresa) of Gumboro, DE; Les Evans (Vicky) of Dagsboro, DE; Terri Dukes (Eddie) of Georgetown, DE; Ricky Mullins of Gumboro, DE; Davis Evans (Cheryl) of Millsboro, DE; Donna Evans(Roger) of Ocean City, MD and Darlene Condon (Ralph) of Bethel, DE. He also leaves behind his twin sister, Janet Betts of Arbutus, MD as well as 30 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Willards, MD. Pastor Chuck Reynolds will officiate.
