David E. Halton's Obituary
David E. Halton, born on May 23, 1934, in East Chicago, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Lewes, Delaware, on October 22, 2024, at the age of 90. He was the beloved son of Emmet and Marjorie (Saddler) Halton. David married the love of his life, Helen Felicichia, on October 4, 1958. They were bonded in love and devotion to family and were blessed to be married for 66 years.
David attended Bishop Noll High School in Hammond, Indiana and attended Marquette University. He served his country in the United States Army active duty in Korea for two years & Army Reserve for two years. David retired from Praxair Inc., formerly Union Carbide. His career spanned 40 plus years and three states, Indiana, West Virginia and New York.
He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Helen, and loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his great granddaughter, Mary Duran.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Felicichia Halton, and his four children Mark Halton (Christine) of Bardonia, NY, Marcia Duran (Phillip) of Nitro, WV, Paul Halton (Kristel) of Brewster, NY, and Paula Halton of Buchanan, NY; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alex, Eric, Stephen, Angela, Emmet, and Greta, and two great grandchildren, Aiden and Cameron. Also survived by his brother, John Halton and sister, Elaine Sommers and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of David’s life and legacy was held on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
