Deborah Lynn Flynn's Obituary
Deborah Lynn (Beaver) Flynn, born on August 27, 1953, in Fort Belvoir, VA, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Lewes, DE, at the age of 71. She was the beloved daughter of the late Harry Melvin and Marion Irene (Waid) Beaver.
A passionate business owner, Deborah had a gift for finding and selling antiques. She had an eye for design, transforming ordinary objects into things of beauty. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including watching her favorite game shows and TV classics like MASH*, Leave It to Beaver, and Downton Abbey. She loved solving crossword puzzles, fishing, going for boat rides, and spending time at the beach. Deborah cherished memories of her time with Gus, her canine companion, whose presence filled her days with joy. A talented cook, Deborah was especially known for baking her famous pumpkin and pecan pies and passed down the family heirloom of Sand Tart cookies during the Christmas season.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Douglas Flynn; and her sister, Sheila Basso. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children Joshua Royce (Lauren), Dawn Hill (Larry), Lindsay Flynn, and Jessica Flynn (Jacob Ewald); her grandchildren Haley Royce, Miranda Hill, Ryan Downey, Scarlett Graham, and Flynn Ewald; her great-grandchild, Parker McCary; her brothers: Gary Dolbin and Donnie Dolbin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
