Obituary of Mrs. Denise Lynn Valley
Mrs. Denise Lynn Valley of Laurel, DE passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She was 57 years old.
She was born in Bristol, PA to the late Eugene and Theresa Martin Hand. She received her Associates Degree in Poultry Science from Delaware Tech. Denise was employed by Merck as a Lead Animal Technician for approximately 30 years before she retired due to failing health.
Denise was an avid traveler who got to explore Europe with friends and family. She was always up for an adventure. She enjoyed going to dinner at new places with her friends, loved horses and animals and enjoyed music of all kinds. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Thomas Valley of Laurel, DE; one daughter, Paige Willey (Justin) of Delmar, DE and one brother Jeff Hand (Mira) of Swedesboro, NJ. She is also survived by three grandchildren whom she adored Brynlee, Tripp and Kolt Willey along with a nephew Martin Hand. Denise also leaves behind her canine companion "Never" as well as extended family and friends.
A time of sharing will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966 where friends may call from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM for visitation.
