Obituary of Mr. Dennis P. "Mac" McNally
Dennis P. McNally, known to most of his friends as "Mac," passed away peacefully at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital on September 26, 2015. He was born on Dec. 5, 1947 to the late James T. and Eileen Finnigan McNally in Jersey City, NJ. After graduation from high school, he served in the US Army for two tours of duty in Viet Nam, and was honorably discharged. He received specialized training and became a Chef at the Sea Oaks Country Club from which he retired. He was a member of the American Legion. He loved his family, loved and especially loved playing with his great niece. He appreciated his family and was dedicated to them. He is survived by two sisters: Eileen Bibber, of Albuquerque, NM; and Sharon Hellwig, of Laurel, DE. He also has a special niece: Sharon Stamps, and husband Lonnie, of Laurel, DE. He is also the father of two, and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A viewing and visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE. At 7 PM there will be a prayer service conducted by Rev. James Van Der Wall. Interment will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either the American Cancer Society, or the American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
