Obituary of Mrs. Diane Doris Weis
Diane Doris Weis, of Lewes, DE passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE on November 23, 2016. She was born in Orange, NJ to the late Daniel and Doris De Finis on July 30, 1944. She married John R. Weis on March 7, 1964 and raised a son. They were married 52 years until John's death in 2016. She was the owner and operator of JR's Barbeque in Tom's River, NJ. She moved to Delaware in 2002. She was very personable and made friends easily wherever she went. Her hobbies included kiln work, making jewelry from glass, and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Weis, Lewes, DE, two grandchildren: Mark D. Weis and Robbyne Leigh Weis, along with a sister-in-law, Doris Weis, of Indiana and her caretaker: Nancy Robinson. In addition to her husband, and parents, Diane was preceded by her son, Robert and his wife Dawn Suzanne Weis, two brothers: Dale and Doug De Finis.
A memorial Celebration of Life will be held on March 18, 2017 from 2 PM till 6 PM at the Clubhouse in the Meadows at the Village of Old Landing, Coatue Blvd., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice; 100 Patriot Way, Milford, DE 19963.
