Donald Ray Garrison's Obituary
Donald Ray Garrison, son of the late Yvonne V. Garrison and Kenneth L. Wescott was born on August 17, 1954 in Frankford, Delaware. He departed this life at the age of 63 on December 9, 2017 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Delaware.
Donald Ray received his education through the Indian River School District and later employed by Mountaire farms as an agricultural worker and was dedicated to his work.
Donald Ray accepted Christ early in his lifetime and began attending several local churches in the community and rededicated his life in 2015.
He was known to be full of life and fun and he loved spending time with his family just as much as he loved to walk.
On Donald Ray's birthday, August 17, in the year 1994 he was united in matrimony to his wife of 23 years, Madeline Hall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Garrison and Valerie Garrison.
Many fond memories will remain with his wife Madeline of Millsboro, DE; two sons, Dynell Toppin, Delmar, DE., and Brandon Garrison, Georgetown, DE., Two stepsons, Steven Abney, Salisbury, MD., and Jermaine Hall, Jacksonville, FL., Three step-daughters, Natasha Abney, Bridgeville, DE., Jacqueline Kane (husband James) and Yolanda Hall, both of Seaford, DE. Seven sisters: Violet Handy, Millsboro, DE., Wendy Bowen, Georgetown, DE., Robbin Thompson (husband Doug) Bridgeville, DE., Kim Goodman and Valerie Wescott , both of Selbyville, DE., Brenda Wescott, Dagsboro, DE., Linda Wescott, Laurel, DE. Five brothers: Joseph Garrison (wife Van) Frankford, DE., Earl Garrison, Georgetown, DE., Kenneth Wescott, Jr. (wife Aletha) Seaford, DE., Alfred and Kelvin Wescott, both of Frankford, DE. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, loved ones and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 N. Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, MD 21813, where friends may call from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM for viewing and visitation. Burial will immediately follow in adjoining church cemetery.
