Donald Lee Gray's Obituary
Donald Lee Gray, of Millsboro, DE, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 11, 2025. He was born on January 23, 1940, in Milford, DE, the son of the late William and Lelia (Butler) Gray.
After graduating from high school, Donald attended barber school and went on to enjoy a long career as a barber. He also proudly served his country in the National Guard.
Donald was a man who loved the simple joys of life—he enjoyed hunting, working with his hands, and fixing things. One of his greatest pleasures was traveling with his family; together, they visited 37 states over the years. He also cherished his classic 1957 red Thunderbird.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, William “Bill” Gray. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Dorothy Carol (Stewart) Gray; his son, Stewart Gray (Beth); granddaughters, Megan Gray (JC Pusey) and Breanna Gray (Eric Robinson); nephews, Michael Gray (Debra) and Mark Gray; and great-nephew, David Gray (Kristy), all of Millsboro, DE.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may visit with the family from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service.
