DONNA L ANDERSON's Obituary
Donna LaRae Anderson, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, February 24,2016 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown.
She was born the twelfth of fourteen children to William H. and Minnie C. (Winter) Jauken on August 11, 1934 in Oxford, Nebraska. She married Darol L. Anderson February 19, 1956 and had two sons, Danny and David.
She was a homemaker and home-room mother. She worked for a time at the first Millsboro Lanes and then as a clerk at Montgomery Ward catalogue store. She enjoyed local seafood, sewing, singing, and playing music. She loved church, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David; eight brothers: Bill Jauken and wife, Orpha; John Jauken, Royie Jauken, George Jauken, Hank Jauken, Clyde Jauken, Neil Jauken and wife Elaine, and Alvin Jauken and wife Dorothy; three sisters: Verna Frost and husband Don, Beulah Falk, and Margaret Chattin; and brother-in-law Cornelius Vandenburg.
She is survived by husband, Darol L. Anderson of Georgetown DE, son Danny L. Anderson and wife Sheila of Frankford, two grandchildren: Brooks and Allison Anderson; and daughter-in-law Mary Anderson of Millsboro; one brother: Carl Lee Jauken and wife LaJean of Holdrege NE; one sister: Eldora Vandenberg of Hawarden IA; sisters-in-law Donna Jauken of Holdrege NE, Anita Jauken of Lacey WA, Eunice Jauken of Ft. Collins CO; brother-in-law Rev. Maynard Falk of Holdrege NE; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 2 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. Interment to follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests donation to Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
