We love Great Aunt Donna! She came to Dave's and my wedding in 2016 and it felt so good to have her there, along with Tom and Andra. Tom, Andra and Donna's connection to our family in New York has always meant a lot. Donna has been a kind, funny and self-assured presence for me as her grand-niece. I remember visiting Donna and Archie several times as a young girl and marveling that they lived just a short drive from the ocean. I have always loved and admired Donna's stained glass, but what I have loved most is hearing the stories of her as a young girl on their family farm in Nebraska. I have a picture in my mind of her by waiting by the railroad tracks to welcome men who could work for the day on their farm in exchange for a meal and a place to sleep. While I may not have the details of that story exactly right, I think I am right in imagining her cheerful, welcoming presence to those people who needed work. My love goes out to Andra and Tom and to grandkids and family and all her knew her well.

I first met Donna thru my parents tom and Bea Shockley. I soon saw how talented she was with stained glass and would seek out the places where her works are on display. She truly used the gifts God gave her to enhance the places others worship him. Prayers to her family at this time, but know your mother is at peace.
