DORETTA BOWDEN TAYLOR's Obituary
Doretta Mae Taylor (July 9, 1932 - December 21, 2015) will always be remembered for her love of nature. She could be seen outside from sun up to sun down; working in her garden, picking tomatoes or strawberries, or taking care of the various animals she kept on her farm. She loved the Creator and his marvelous creations.
In 1954 Doretta was dedicated and baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was well known in the community for her love of Jehovah God and her efforts to spread the good news of His Kingdom.
She was the daughter of Irving and Etha Ellen Bowden of Delmar. She is survived by her younger brother Ronald Bowden, her two children; Ellen Carrick, and Rick Clendaniel, four grandchildren; Courtney Powell, Zachary Clendaniel, Hilary Clendaniel, and Rebekah Nelson, and five great grandchildren; Jalen, Oliver, Sydney, Daniel, and Elena. Doretta was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Taylor.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Doretta died with the hope that she would one day be resurrected onto a paradise earth to live forever with her family and friends, a promise found in the Bible book of John.
Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 22300 Lewes-Georgetown Hwy., Georgetown, DE, 19947. Saturday, January 2, 2016, 2:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses at the aforementioned address.
