Obituary of Dorothy Lorraine Rogers
Dorothy Lorraine Rogers, of Millsboro, DE, passed away at home in the loving arms of her husband Richard after 62 years of marriage on June 28, 2020. She was born on December 6, 1939 in Lewes, DE to the late Thomas and Helen Thomas Pritchett. She was 80 years old. She was a devoted wife and family meant everything to her. She had a passion and gift for decorating their home. She enjoyed browsing antique shops and especially loved old lamps.
In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her son Ricky Rogers, (Lisa), of Gumboro, DE; her daughters: Rita Rogers (Mitch) of Gumboro, DE; and Tammy Hansen (Bill) of Georgetown, DE. She also is survived by five grandsons: Richard Allan Rogers (Jamey); Lance Rogers; Taylor Rogers; Brent Hansen; and Blaine Hansen. She has one great-grand daughter: Braelynn Rogers. Dorothy is also survived by a sister: Lorraine Hare (David) of Laurel, DE.
A viewing and visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966. Masks and social distancing will be required. A funeral service and Celebration of Her Life will be held at Noon, with Pastor Thom Slaughter officiating. Seating for the funeral service will be limited in compliance with the Covid-19 restrictions in the Governor's State of Emergency, and the Division of Health Guidelines.
Interment will be private, with only the immediate family in attendance following the funeral.
