Edna Lois Hudson's Obituary
Edna Lois Hudson of Millsboro, DE went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2023. She was 75 years old.
Lois was born in Milford, DE to the late Norman L. and Edna Joseph Rust. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Norman Rust and two sisters, Josie Chisenhall and Joyce Lyons.
She worked at NCR and later as a home health aid for Beebe Home Health Care before retiring. Lois was a member of The Journey Church in Millsboro, DE. She enjoyed crochet and computer games. She was known to be a little ornery.
Lois is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Phillip W. Hudson of Millsboro, DE; a daughter, Joanne Oakes and her husband Everett of Millsboro, DE; two brothers, George Rust and his wife Robin of Centerville, MD and Wayne Rust and his wife Sue of Harrington, DE.
She also leaves behind one granddaughter Susie Oakes (Dylan Rose) of Georgetown, DE and two great grandchildren Ellie and Hudson. Lois is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at The Journey Church, 255 Wilson Hwy, Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 11 AM – 12 PM for viewing and visitation. Interment will follow at Millsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Lois’ memory to The Journey, PO Box 371, Millsboro, DE 19966 or Riverside Wesleyan Church, PO Box 164, Fishing Creek, MD 21634.
