Obituary of Edward L. Fisher USAF Veteran . Edward L. Fisher, of Millsboro, DE passed away at his home on January 10, 2020. He was 88 years old. Edward was born on September 15, 1931 in Georgetown, DE to the late George and Gertrude Ellingsworth Fisher. He served in the US Air Force from 1951 through 1955 and did overseas duty in Germany. He married his sweetheart, Wanda, and together they raised four children, and a nephew who they raised as their own. He was a Life Member of the Millsboro VFW Post, and also was a founding member, and Life Member of Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad. He was very devoted to his family, and particularly enjoyed animated discussions with his wife. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and NASCAR. He also loved watching football. Edward was also an active member of the Oak Orchard Community Church in Oak Orchard. Edward's beloved wife Wanda preceded him last December. He is survived by his four children: Bryan E. Fisher; Frank L. Fisher (Ranae); Sheila Rohlfing (Gene); and Bruce A. Fisher. His nephew that he raised as his own is Danny Fisher (Georgette). Also surviving are twelve grandchildren: Nicole Rohlfing, Donna Rohlfing, Kelly Lewis, Mallory Johnson, Fallyn Blanco, Michael Sacona, Kodie Fisher, Kaylee Fisher, Chelsea Johnson, Devon McCusker, Tyler Bare, Taylor Bare. There are fifteen great-grandchildren: Noah Smallacombe, Colin Smallacombe, Alexis Hill, Maddison Hill, Hailey Hill, Lilly Hill, Brayden Wootten, Shyla Lowe, Oaklyn Blanco, James Camp, Ryleigh Fisher, MaKenna, Malakai, Remington Bare, Jaxson Bare. He is also survived by a brother George Fisher (Shirley) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral and Celebration of His Life will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966. Friends may call one hour prior, from 11:00 AM until Noon. Pastor Allen Miller, of the Oak Orchard Community Church will officiate.
