Obituary of Mr. Edward Charles Grollimund
Mr. Edward Charles Grollimund of Millville, DE and formerly of Pleasantville, New York passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was 63 years old.
Ed was born on October 3, 1958, in the Bronx, NY to the late Edward Grollimund and Dorothy Coleman Grollimund who survives him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Cathy Buonfiglio Grollimund of Millville, DE; one brother Michael Grollimund and his wife Barbara nee Kastberg of New York, one niece Jennifer Clark (Tyler) of New York and nephew Michael Grollimund of New Hampshire. Along with his brother-in-law John Buonfiglio (Cathy) and sister in laws Barbara Buonfiglio (John Runfolo), Melissa Morgan (Keith Kouhoupt) and several nieces and nephews.
Ed retired from Verizon where he worked for nearly 30 years and made many beloved friends through his time there. Afterward he enjoyed his time working as a starter and groundskeeper at area golf courses. He enjoyed golf, fantasy football, fantasy baseball and was an excellent softball pitcher. Ed loved travel and reading in his retirement and was a huge Yankees, Giants and Rangers fan. Ed was known to be for his generosity, his wit and marching to his own drummer. He will be dearly missed.
