Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Kolnsberg, RN
March 25, 1932 - Sept 2, 2021 (age 89)
Betty Ann Kolnsberg, RN of Millsboro, DE, formerly Ocean Pines, MD and Washington Township NJ passed away on September 2, 2021. She was 89 years young.
Betty was born in the hamlet of Palisades, NY on March 25, 1932, to Hilda and Harold C Post.
Betty was a graduate of Hackensack Hospital School of Nursing and served as a Med Surg head nurse and Employee Health Nurse over a 32-year career at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood NJ.
Betty gloried in serving her patients, nursing team and most importantly loving her family. Her husband of 58 years and family meant everything to her, time spent with them gave her life's greatest joy.
She enjoyed hosting get togethers that included an annual 4th of July BDQ with dozens of extended family and friends. Betty also loved the great outdoors that included picnics and camping at Harriman State Park in NY. She retired to Ocean Pines Maryland where she was an active member of the Community Church of Ocean Pines, the Ocean Pine Boat Club, Woman's Club treasure and the Republican Woman's organization.
In short, Betty was a devout Christian who served King Jesus by loving unconditionally and putting others first.
Betty is predeceased by husband Joseph, daughter Kathy, grandson Kurtis, brother Bob, Brother Hal, Brother-In-Law Bill, Brother-In-Law Dave, Sister-in-Law Betty, Sister-in-Law Dot and is survived by her son, Mark, his wife Heather, and their daughter Galiya; daughter Robyn, her husband Joe and their son Joseph; grandchildren Cory and Elizabeth and great grandchildren of Elizabeth's, Lucas, Lana, Dylan and Ethan. In addition, an extended family that includes sister-in-law Ruth, nieces Dee, Janet, Susan, Nancy, Darah, Sally and nephew Chris.
A funeral service officiated by Reverend Dale Brown will be held at 4PM on Monday September 6, 2021, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S Washington St, Millsboro, DE 19966 where friends may call from 3 - 4PM for viewing and visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to charities of choice.
