Eugene Leo Geiger's Obituary
Eugene Leo Geiger, 79, of Millsboro, Delaware passed away on February 20, 2026, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware.
Born on April 4, 1946, in Millsboro, Delaware, Eugene was the son of the late Joseph and Helena (Gulash) Geiger. He graduated from Millsboro High School with the class of 1964. Following high school, Eugene proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his time in service, he pursued higher education and earned his Master's Degree in Education from University of Maryland, College Park. He also attended Salisbury State where he continued to further his education. He dedicated much of his life to learning and the value of knowledge.
Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family on many camping trips, sharing stories, and offering guidance rooted in his life experiences. He had a love for reading, history, and staying engaged in his community. Eugene also had a love for the outdoors and doing simple things like yardwork. His wife, Nancy, and he had a greenhouse business for many years in Millsboro. Eugene treasured the little joys of life and the company of those closest to him. Moments shared with lifelong friends Leonard and Shirley Bacon and Greg Harmon.
Along with his hobbies of building model airplanes, Civil Air Patrol, the fire company, going to the beach, gardening, cooking, Eugene also had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and the ability to make anyone feel special. His love and kindness will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Nancy M. Geiger.
He is survived by his children, Lauren Geiger and Brian Geiger; along with his grandson Noah Ross, Joe Geiger (Marilyn) (brother), Barbara Kennedy (Ronald) (sister)
