Obituary Evelyn Jones
Mrs. Evelyn Jones of Frankford, DE passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at home under the care of Vitas Hospice.
Mrs. Jones was born on February 5, 1927 to the late Fred M. and Carrie Timmons Marvel. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward R. Jones in 2009.
Evelyn retired from the DuPont Nylon Plant in Seaford where she worked as a chemist for 46 years. She was a graduate of Georgetown High School, and was an avid Bridge player. She also enjoyed golf and reading books especially about the game of Bridge. Evelyn was a sweetheart of a person and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by two nephews, Jeffrey Parker and his wife Robin of Millsboro, DE and Robert G. Jones of Frankford, DE; a great nephew Kyle Byram as well as 2 great great nephews and one great great niece.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro; Rev. Dr. James Van der Wall will officiate.
