EVELYN VIRGINIA REVEL's Obituary
Evelyn Virginia Revel of Millsboro, DE passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Beebe Medical Center. She was 83 years old. Mrs. Revel was born in Millsboro, DE on April 15, 1931 to the late Harley and Emily Parsons Collins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clifford Revel in 1998 and a son, Rev. Dr. Bruce Revel in 2008 and a dear friend Aileen Baker. Evelyn retired from the State of Delaware where she worked at the Stockley Center as a seamstress. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Gumboro, DE, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was also the Administrator for Westwoods Church Historical Site. Evelyn adored her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play baseball and football. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey A. Revel and his wife Kathy of Millsboro, DE; four grandchildren, Christopher Revel, Justin Revel, Mark Revel, Tara Revel- Fahrubel; four great grandchildren, a niece, Tammy Hitchens and a great niece, Mera Hitchens along with lifelong friends, Maxine Hudson, and Barbara Parker. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro. Pastor Carol Loy will officiate. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com
