EVELYN T WIDEN's Obituary
Ms. Evelyn T. Widen of Greenwood, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center. She was 80 years old.
She was born on September 20, 1935 in West Chester, PA. She graduated from West Chester Joint Senior High School in 1955. She was proud to have celebrated her 60th class reunion in 2015.
Evelyn retired in 2004 from Green Valley Terrace Nursing and Rehab Center in Millsboro, DE where she worked as an administrative assistant.
She enjoyed writing poetry, reading, especially "Danielle Steele" and going to the slots. She was an avid Phillies fan for 60 years.
Evelyn is survived by two sons, Carl E. Widen (Carol) of Seaford, DE and Mark S. Widen (Michele) of Greenwood, DE; three granddaughters, Kaycee Lee Widen of Millsboro, DE; Nicole A. Widen and Annika L. Widen of Greenwood, DE; two great granddaughters, Kailey M. Johnson of Millsboro and Amina G. Green of Millsboro, DE.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Rev. Shawn Willey will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, 16529 Coastal Hwy, Suite 116, Lewes, DE 19958.
