FLORENCE ELLEN LAYTON's Obituary
Mrs. Florence Ellen Layton of Seaford, DE passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. She was 89 years old. Florence was born in Whaleyville, MD on September 28, 1925 to the late Francis and Annie Donaway Jones. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Layton in 1998, three children George Layton, James Layton and Jean Niblett, as well as numerous siblings. She along with her husband worked on a poultry farm. In addition to helping on the farm she was a homemaker taking care of her husband and children. Florence was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Laurel, DE and attended the Georgetown Cheer Center. She never complained and always had a smile. She enjoyed cooking for her family. Florence had a special place in her heart for her Rat Terrier ""Tiny"" who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Bailey and her husband Richard of Laurel, DE; three sons Francis, Denny and Ronnie Layton, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
