FREDERICK ""PORKY"" LUTHER NORWOOD, JR's Obituary
Mr. Frederick Luther Norwood, Jr. ""Porky"" passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at home surrounded by his loved ones and friends. Mr. Norwood was born on July 14, 1956 in Lewes, DE to the late Frederick Luther Norwood, Sr. and Mildred Hitchens Norwood. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Suprenia Griffin. He worked for Perdue as a Maintenance Tech. He was a member of the Indian Mission United Methodist Church and the Nanticoke Indian Association. He like race cars, motorcycles, farming, hanging and hanging out with his friends. Porky was a Dale Earnhardt fan. He was fun to be around and liked enjoying the company of his friends, family and food. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Neal of Bridgeville, DE; two daughters, Farrah Norwood and Amanda Norwood both of Millsboro, DE' three sons, Shane Neal, Stanley Neal and Joseph Neal; seven siblings, Vanessa Rickards, Selena Ross, Montoya Palmer, Richard L. Norwood, Kevin D. Norwood, William Norwood and Eldred Norwood. He is also survived by ten grandchildren along with extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 11:00 AM. Pastor Karen Mumford will officiate and burial will follow at Indian Mission United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mr. Norwood's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com
