Gail B McCall's Obituary
Gail B. Street McCall of Millsboro, DE passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was 75 years old.
Gail was born on July 10, 1940 in Allentown, PA, to the loving parents of the late Martin Earl Street and Algetha M. Boyer Street. She received her education from Millsboro SDA Church School. She later went to William C. Jason Comprehensive High School in Georgetown, DE.
Gail was employed by Carlos Street at the age of sixteen driving a school bus in Millsboro, Delaware. After moving to Camden, New Jersey, she drove bus for OEO Head Start.
Gail became a member of Mt. Olivet SDA Church. She held the offices of Usher, Deaconess, and the Head of Community Services Department for many years. Upon retirement, she moved back to Millsboro to care for her father. Due to passion for driving, Gail started driving part time for Lingo Bussing. She was very proud to say that she had drove bus for 59 years.
Gail was a faithful and devoted member of First Millsboro SDA Church. She served as an Usher, Sabbath School Superintendent, Sabbath School Secretarty, Community Services Committee and was the Food Bank Chairperson. She loved to feed people and always wanted to make sure there was more than enough food. She also would open her home up to anyone and everyone and wanted nothing in return but you better make sure the house was kept clean.
Mommy had a joy for shopping and staying well-dressed no matter. Even on her sick bed she was making sure it was done.
Gail is survived by two sons and three daughters. Gail was married to the late Henry Wright and from that union she was blessed with Richard Wright of Cherry Hill, NJ and Shasonya Wright of Mantua, NJ. She later married Claude H. McCall in 1972 and from that union she was blessed with Craig Wright of Millsboro, DE, Claudette Wood (Rory) of Pennsauken, NJ, Paulette Mickens (William) of Camden, NJ. Grandchildren: Natosha Thorpe (David) is the oldest grandchild she was more like a daughter to Gail. Ricardo, Paul, Ameera, Kyree, Brittani, Tashon, Brianna, Denzel, Craig Jr., Dionne, Taylor, Nathaniel, Kayla, Rory Jr., Devin, Preston, Corey, Jayden. Nine Great Grandchildren, 1 brother, Ronald LeVan of Allentown, PA, two sister-in-Laws, Magdalene Hall of Dagsboro, DE, Peggy McCall of Berlin, MD. Along with devoted friends/cousins, Gardner Street, Marlene Pritchett, Beatrice Hunter, Delores Gibson, Della Street, Arelia Wright, and Cheryl Pritchett. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. And last but far from least her fury son "Peppy."
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Millsboro SDA Church, 30007 Cordrey Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call two hours prior. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to the Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church, 30007, Cordrey Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
