GARY LEN HERRON OBITUARY
Gary Len Herron of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on September 6th, 2022 at home of natural causes. He was 69 years old.
Gary leaves behind Stepdaughter Tracy Persing, Husband Dave and Grandson Patrick, Wife Mandi and Great Grandson Kevin, Granddaughters Natalie and Gwyn. Stepdaughter Paige Johns, Husband Rob and Granddaughters Lillian and Charlotte. Siblings Sister Vickie Wheeler, Sister-in-Law Susie Herron, Brother Dave Herron and Wife Suzanne, Sister Lynda Fisher and Husband David, Sister Betty Jo Vandevort and Husband Tim, Brother Lawrence (Skip) Herron and many nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his parents Leonard James Herron, Betty Jean Herron (Bratcher) and Brothers Kenny and Tom.
Gary was born on July 16, 1953, in Baltimore City, Gary was raised in Pasadena, MD and attended Severna Park High School. Gary also was a volunteer fire fighter in 1969 at Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Co. He became a fire fighter in 1972 at Fort Mead Fire Department. Being a fire fighter was his passion. He retired as a Captain in 2000. Everyone that knew him knew that he was the kindest and most generous person. He loved his family and friends so much. He will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.
