Gary Steven Jackson's Obituary
Gary Steven Jackson of Millsboro, DE, was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 24, 1959, and passed away on June 2, 2025.
He was the son of Warren Gary Jackson “Tobby” and the late Carol Ann Rose Jackson. Gary was one of four children. Deborah Ann Jackson, Warren Layton Jackson, “Toby” and Charles Daniel Jackson “Danny”.
Gary had two children whom he cherished. His son Brent Steven Jackson (Kristen), of Georgetown, DE, and daughter Michelle Jackson Brice of Winterville, NC as well as and three grandchildren who he loved spending time with Emma Jackson, Myles and McKenzie Brice.
Gary married Karey Y. Harmon May 16, 1992. They were married 33 years and together 7 years before totaling 40 years… a lifetime spent together. He worked at Angola Estates, Nanticoke Manor and loved his job at Tidewater Utilities which he retired in 2020.
He graduated from Sussex Central High School in 1977. Gary was a member of the Nanticoke Indian Association. He enjoyed baseball, playing cards, bowling, and pool leagues with family and friends.
Gary loved and adored his pop-pop Warren, often staying with his grandparents. He was very close to his pop-pop and that special bond left him with many precious memories of their relationship. Gary’s second love was his love for the game of baseball and all his baseball buddies.
He was preceded in death by his mother Carol Ann Rose Jackson, paternal and maternal grandparents, special aunt Jacqueline Stoner and his mother’s sister, his aunt Arlene. His special uncles Renzie Jackson and Paul Jackson.
Gary is survived by his wife Karen, his son Brent (Kristen), daughter Michelle, three grandchildren Emma, Myles and McKenzie, his father Tobby and stepmother Grace Jackson. He also leaves behind siblings Deborah, Toby and Danny, special nephews Andrew Ortiz, Justin and Jordan Hitchens and Caleb Jackson, his special aunt Mailyn Jackson, and his mom’s special cousin Linda. Gary will also be remembered by special cousins Lauren, Adrienne, Leigh, and other cousins along with loving friends and family.
Per Gary’s request, there will be no service at this time. However, a memorial service will be planned for a later date. We express our deepest gratitude for your love, support, and kindness shown to us during this difficult time.
