GERALD ALLEN PUSEY's Obituary
Mr. Gerald Allen Pusey, of Georgetown, DE passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was 77 years old. Gerald was born in Millsboro, DE on May 15, 1937 to the late Delver A. and Minnie Lewis Pusey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Drayton in 2007, and two brothers, Norman Figgs and Gene A. Pusey. Mr. Pusey owned and operated Goslee Insurance Company for over 25 years before merging with the Insurance Market in 1992. He was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church, Past President of the Jaycees, Past President of the Georgetown Business Center, and member of the Sussex Pines Country Club for over 37 years. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM # 12 in Georgetown. Gerald was a successful developer including Hunter's Mills and Breakwater Estates. He was very active in the community and an avid golfer. Mr. Pusey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Hazel E. Pusey of Georgetown, DE; a daughter, Terri Jensen and her husband Christopher of Lewes, DE; seven step-children, Cecil Bailey and his wife Jean of Greenwood, DE; Hazel Briones and her husband Jose of Lincoln, DE; Ronnie Bailey and John Bailey, both of Georgetown; Eva Reed and her husband Robert of Georgetown; Glen Bailey and his wife Emma of Ellendale, and Kenneth Bailey and his wife Kellie of Greenwood. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor Ed Wilkins will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Zoar United Methodist Church, Building Fund, C/O Carissa Pepper 24491 Gravel Hill Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966.
