Gladys M. Harmon's Obituary
Gladys Harmon was born on April 4, 1959, to the late Raymond Lee and Mary Liza Jackson in Roxanna, DE. Gladys departed this life on July 16, 2024, in Wilmington, DE. She was 65 years old.
Gladys was educated in the Sussex Central School District. She was employed with Vlasic Foods for over 20 years until she retired. She loved all her family and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Gladys had a “BIG” heart and she loved to laugh, joke and play around. She enjoyed reading and studying the word of God and listening to gospel music. Her favorite gospel songs were “Only Imagine” and “My Redeemer Lives”.
Gladys was preceded in death by husband Quinn Harmon, her daughter Katrina, her parents, Raymond Lee and Mary Liza Jackson, one brother Ronnie Jackson, and one sister-in-law, Shirley Elizabeth Jackson.
Gladys leaves to cherish fond memories, two sons, Reginald (Terronda) Jackson of Blythewood, SC, and Tolbert Harmon of Millsboro, DE; one daughter, Quintina Harmon of Millsboro, DE; two step-daughters, Meredis Fluitt of Long Neck, DE, and Shawanda Fluitt of Ellendale, DE; eight grandchildren, Xavier of Lugoff, SC, Nykia of Columbia, SC, Zion and Zane of Blythewood, SC, Jamal, Sincere, Jordan of Dagsboro, DE and Jayce of Laurel, DE; three great-grandchildren, Daran, Kehon and Hozai of Lugoff, SC; two sisters, Mary E. Jackson of Millsboro, DE and Linda (Alexander) Dorsey of Millsboro, DE; two brothers, Forest Jackson of Millsboro, DE and Anthony (Linda) Jackson of Willingboro, NJ; one sister-in-law Tolbertetta Harmon; seven brothers-in-law, Hershell Harmon of NC, Joshua Harmon of Austin, TX, Timothy (Danielle) Harmon of Smyrna, DE, Curtis Harmon of Camden, DE, Baron (Pandora) Harmon of Ellendale, DE, Anthony (Eric) Harmon of Dallas, TX and Tolbert Harris of Dover, DE; two God-children, Trey and Leah of Seaford, DE as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11 am at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, DE. A viewing will take place from 10-11 am prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.
Gladys will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
