Gloria Laverne Taylor's Obituary
Gloria Laverne “Norwood” Taylor “Glo”, 76 years old born July 14, 1947, in Lewes Delaware to David Melvin Norwood Sr and Delema Mae Morris.
Gloria worked for Intervet and Merck until she retired at the age of 69. Prior to Intervet, Gloria worked for Beebe for over 24 years.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, daughter, nieces, nephews, and siblings. She also enjoyed visiting with her cousins she grew up with, reminiscing and laughing about their adventures.
Gloria was a lifetime member at First Millsboro Seventh- day Adventist Church, where she fellowshipped and held positions in the church administration. Gloria enjoyed going to the boardwalk with her family in Rehoboth Beach.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, David and Delema Norwood. Brothers David Norwood of Harbeson, Delaware, Arthur Norwood of Lewes, Delaware, and sister, Mildred Norwood of Wilmington, Delaware. Gloria leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Kimberly Webb and her husband John of Lewes, Delaware, her grandchildren, Haley, and Joshua. Her brothers, Mervin (Ethel)Norwood, Evans Norwood, Elmer (Annette)Norwood, Gregory (Elizabeth)Norwood, and sisters, Yvonne Johnson, Grace Norwood, Julia (Herman)Jackson. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. An honorable mention to nephews and nieces she had a special relationship with Curtis Johnson and Tony Norwood-Faben nieces Valarie Graham of North Carolina, Stephanie Morris of Georgetown, Mabel Norwood, of Milton Delaware, and Melissa Elder of Lewes Delaware.
Gloria’s viewing will be held at the First Millsboro Seventh -day Adventist Church,30007 Cordrey Rd, Millsboro, Delaware, 19966, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 10 AM to 11 AM. The funeral will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Repass will be held at the Native Indian Center in Millsboro Delaware following the burial.
