Gordon Draine Jr.'s Obituary
Gordon Draine, Jr., of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2026. He was born on January 10, 1951, in Chester, Pennsylvania, and was the son of the late Gordon Draine, Sr. and Edna Crew Draine.
Gordon proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to working in the security field. He was a hardworking man who valued responsibility, loyalty, and the importance of providing for his family.
In his free time, Gordon enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones and could often be found enjoying his favorite pastime, playing his PS5. He cherished the moments shared with family and friends and will be remembered for his quiet strength, devotion, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his siblings, Linda Bigelow-McIntyre, Lamont Draine, and Harold Crew.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Carole Yvonne Campbell-Draine; his children, Juanita Draine-Mitchell (Aaron), Gordon Draine III (Elizabeth), Hombre Draine, and Yolanda Draine; and his siblings, Elizabeth Foster Jones (Charles), Sandra Ginyard (David), Myra Draine, Barbara Fields (John), and Darlene Seals. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A chapel committal service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
Gordon's service to his country, dedication to his family, and the memories he created with those he loved will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
