GRACE ARVEY's Obituary
Mrs. Grace Arvey, of Millsboro, DE passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Beebe Medical Center. Grace was born in Dagsboro, DE to the late George and Margaret Leggs Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband Howard W. ""Pete"" McGinnes, her second husband, Walter Arvey, Jr., son Howard William McGinnes, Jr., sister, Dorothy Melson, brother, Greg Mitchell, granddaughter, Michele Arvey and a grandson, William Randall McGinnes, Jr. She worked in numerous health care facilities as a Certified Nursing Assistant including the Stockley Center. Grace loved hanging out with her grandchildren, going to Chincoteague, the beach, animals, fish, tropical aquariums and doing crossword puzzles. She was outgoing, strong willed and didn't mince words. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by four children; Sharon Eaton and her companion Mark Collins of Millsboro; Lou Ann Johnson and her husband Robert of Millsboro; William McGinnes and his wife Pamela of Gumboro; Stewart McGinnes and his wife Carolyn of Frankford; three step-children, David Arvey, Sr., Bruce Arvey and Pam Gray and her husband Mark; three brothers, Wally Mitchell, Jr., Marshall Mitchell and Robert Melson; two sisters, Jean Hastings and Linda Wilson; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special friend ""Faye"", her canine friend ""Tink"", as well as many extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 11:00 A.M. for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow at the Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor Bob Hudson will officiate.
