To the Shinksy family, I knew Spider (as we called him) from the American Legion in Dagsboro, De. Spider was one of the first people I met when I started working there almost 8 years ago. It was my pleasure to know Spider and enjoy his stories. Mainly of his wife, who you could tell he dearly loved and the next loves of his life, his children and grandchildren. He spoke with such pride and happiness about his family. Getting to know Spider I can only imagine the rest of of the family. He will me truly missed. To all Shinsky Family Members: My sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one. As a fellow Shinsky, I wonder if you know details of Bud's early years. My own grandfather, Edward Shinsky, lived in New Salem, PA. Could we be related? I now live in Ocean View and in my old age I have great interest in learning more about my heritage. My husband, Deacon Tom and I send our heartfelt condolences to you all. Bud so loved his family and talked about you often,especially his daughters and his wife June. Bud was my "pew" mate at St. Martin's; always a kind and gentle man. He was very special to our godson Danny Quillen & theyshared many coffee hour conversations together. Penn State was a favorite subject.We loved Bud and we miss him.
