HELEN M WILSON's Obituary
Helen Pryor Wilson was 73 years old when she passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Atlantic Shores Rehab and Health Center in Millsboro, DE.
Helen was the daughter of the late William and AnnaBelle Brittingham Pryor of Salisbury, MD. While Helen called Salisbury home, she spent 38 years in central Florida where she retired as City Clerk of Winter Garden. Helen graduated from Wicomico High School in 1958 and attended Salisbury University. Shortly thereafter, she married William W. Catron III and had a son Richard William Catron Sr.
In 1999, Helen married Barkley Wilson and from there on called Georgetown home where she could be found helping Barkley in the garden or cooking up the bounty of their work together to share with family and friends.
Helen's passions were her family, traveling, and singing in her church. As a devoted woman of faith, Helen was committed to ministering to her friends in the nursing home where she spent 11 years and will be sorely missed.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister Bonnie Pryor Wilson. She is survived by her loving husband Barkley Wilson; her son Richard Catron of Cincinnati, OH; her step-daughter Lisa Wilson Dorey of Millsboro, DE; her devoted sister Patricia Pryor Kondziola of Parsonsburg, MD; and her brother Randall L. Pryor of Easton, MD. In addition, she is survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.
Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., with the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Harbeson Cemetery.
