Helen P. Wootten, born on December 3, 1931, in Dagsboro, DE, peacefully departed this world on March 9, 2024, in Laurel, DE. She was the beloved daughter of Manfred Parsons and Hazel (Ellingsworth) Parsons. Helen grew up alongside her sister, Pat Lathbury, and together they created a lifetime of cherished memories.
Helen was a proud graduate of Millsboro High School and later pursued a career as an accountant, showcasing her commitment to precision and order in all aspects of life. Her dedication to her work and attention to detail earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Helen found joy in simple pleasures, and her love for cleanliness was evident in her meticulous approach to life. Beyond her professional pursuits, she had a passion for travel that allowed her to explore the beauty of the world. Her travels were often accompanied by the uplifting melodies of gospel music, which she held dear to her heart.
Helen's legacy lives on through her son, Stephen Denver Wootten, and his wife Leslie. She was a loving grandmother to Sarah Shore, Laura Webb (Jack), and Allison Wootten. Her great-grandchildren, Finn Webb, Kael Webb, Sawyer Shore, and Saylor Shore brought immense joy and laughter into her life.
A graveside service will be held at Millsboro Cemetery in Millsboro, DE, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 1pm.
