Henrietta Hudson Sexton's Obituary
Henrietta Hudson Sexton, age 99 of Dagsboro, DE passed away at Beebee Medical Center on April 30, 2020. She had been a resident of Harrison House, Georgetown, DE for three and a half years.
She was born in Dagsboro, DE, and lived in Sussex County most of her natural life except for a brief stint in Elkton, MD. Mrs. Sexton worked at the Stockley Center and retired from the State of Delaware after 15 years' service. She was a member of Life Church and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and the company of family and friends. Through her faithful prayers and gracious spirit, she served as a role model for her entire family.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her father and mother, Henry H. Hudson and Della M. Hudson. Her husband, Joseph Wade Sexton died in 2011. Her family includes three sons: Parris A. Sexton (Gail) of Millsboro, DE; Phillip D. Sexton (Vivienne) of Millville, DE; and Joseph D. "Joe Pete" Sexton (Corrine) of Georgetown, DE; and one daughter, Linda S. Steele of Georgetown, DE. In addition, she is survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Due to the current state of emergency situation, a private internment only will be held at Redmen's Memorial Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Life Church, 24545 Shortly Road, Georgetown, DE 19947. Letters of condolence may also be sent via www.watsonfh.com
