Henry A. Presley's Obituary
Henry A. Presley passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 82, in the peace and comfort of his home in Selbyville, DE. Born on January 7, 1942, in Tacoma Park, MD, he embarked on a life well-lived, full of devotion to his family.
After honorably serving in the United States Army, Mr. Presley went on to have a lifelong career as a machinist at the Baxter Company, where he was respected for his skill and work ethic. Mr. Presley was active in his community shown through his membership at the Victory Baptist Church in Selbyville, DE, and his participation in the Potomic Falconers Association. He poured his passion into flying hawks, a hobby that brought him great joy. A man of many interests, he also adored working on cars, and he could often be found in the company of his beloved dogs, Rusty and Snoopy.
Mr. Presley is preceded in death by his parents: father Floyd Presley and mother Mary (Ellington) Presley; son Edward Presley; and two brothers: Floyd Presley Jr. and James Presley. He is survived by two children: son Mark Presley (Laura) of Flowery Branch,GA, and daughter Julie L. Ramos of Selbyville, DE; and six grandchildren: Robbie, Perla, Benito, Enrique, Estrella, and Ruby. He treasured time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were the apples of his eye.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, 211 South Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Millsboro, DE.
