Horace Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Horace Johnson of Dagsboro, DE passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center. He was 81 years old. Mr. Johnson was born on March 11, 1933 in Selbyville, DE to the late Annanias David and Dollie Lynch Johnson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, June Johnson in 2000. Horace was a retired retail salesman who worked for A.E. Moore, Inc., Wm. B. Murray and Eastern Shore Tobacco. He possessed an incredible sense of humor who even kept the hospice nurses laughing, and loving him. He was an avid Bible reader and student of the King James Version. He also liked to go out to dinner and loved to travel. He is survived by two children, Greg Johnson of Dagsboro and Lori Hignutt and her husband Harry of Statesville, NC, two brothers, Walton Johnson of Frankford and Darwin Johnson of Dagsboro, along with six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren as well as extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial in Millsboro. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Horace's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
