Irene J. LeCates' Obituary
Irene J. LeCates of Millsboro, DE passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 84 years old.
She was born on January 27, 1937, in Laurel, DE to the late Edward E. and Bertha K. Hickman LeCates. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by six siblings: Linwood, Ivan, Roy, Clifton, Marie, and Anna.
Irene worked at 1st National Bank of MD as a Sorter and also worked at NCR when it was located in Millsboro. She was a member of Hickory Hill Methodist Church and also their choir. She enjoyed yardwork and plants and was known to be a very hardworking woman.
She is survived by one brother Kenneth LeCates and one sister Doris Esposito as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves behind a very special niece Betty Harding and a very special friend Beverly Mitchell.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for viewing and visitation.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hickory Hill Methodist Church, C/O Roy Rogers, 28209 Walt Carmean Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966.
