Isabel L. Jerrold-Jones' Obituary
Isabel Jerrold-Jones, 88, of Millsboro, lost her 8 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Isabel was born July 9, 1923 in Poland, Ohio to the late Glenn and Ruth (Metz) Lanterman. After graduating from high school in Youngstown, Ohio she attended Kent State University where she met her future husband, Paul Jerrold-Jones. After WWII the newlyweds settled in Arizona and eventually California. Retirement brought them to Millsboro where they could be near the water and their view of Millsboro Pond. Isabel was interested in many hobbies including sewing, crocheting, quilting, ceramics, painting and writing, but the one she enjoyed most was decorating and making miniature furniture for her many doll houses. Isabel was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul Jerrold-Jones; brother, Glenn ""Buddy"" Lanterman; and nephew Mark. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rich; son, David Jerrold-Jones; 6 grandchildren, Wendy, Tim, Amanda, Cassie, Kevin and Paul; 3 great grandchildren, Allegra, Adria and Elija; nephews Matthew and Michael; and a niece, Melissa. The family would like to thank the staff at Atlantic Shores for their care and comfort to Isabel, especially John, Mary, Pat and Debbie. Your compassion has been deeply appreciated. A memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Alzheimer's Association of Georgetown, in Isabel's name.
