James A Powell's Obituary
Mr. James A. Powell of Millsboro, DE and formerly of Newark, DE passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was 72 years old.
Mr. Powell was born in Wilmington, DE to the late John E. Powell and Caroline DiGiacomo Powell-Arcaro. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters Jane and Margaret as well as his step-father, Anthony Arcaro.
Jim retired from Boeing where he worked as a fabricator. He enjoyed fishing, had his Captains License and ran his own charters. He enjoyed spending time with his closest family and friends especially his daughter and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Powell of Millsboro, DE; daughter, Jennifer Catts of Newark, DE; brothers, Vince DiGiacomo and his wife Barbara of Wilmington, DE and Robert Decker of Lewes, DE; as well as two grandchildren whom he adored, Jacob and Aubrey Catts. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday July 29th from 12 to 4pm at Lums Pond State Park (picnic area 4).
