James L Street, Sr.'s Obituary
James L Street Sr, Jim, of Millsboro De, departed this life on April 20,2020 at the age of 88.
Jim was born on February 7th, 1932 in Millsboro De to the late Lawrence and Etta (Miller) Street. Jim is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Elena Street as well as his three brothers William, Vincent and Reginald Street.
Jim was self-employed. He had his own pest control company as well as sold and hauled mulch as well as sawdust. Jim enjoyed all types of racing from horses to cars. Jim and Elena built a go-kart track in their backyard which they operated from 1968 until 1985. James worked hard and loved to joke around with his family and friends.
Jim loved being outdoors but most of all loved his family and did what he could to spend time with all of them. The first weekend in September, Jim could be found helping at the Powwow seat people in the handicapped section along side Elena.
Jim is survived by his son James L. Street Jr. of Millsboro De, two grand children Mario (Stacie) Street of Millsboro De and Tshnina Street of Milton De, two great granddaughters Trista and Kinley Street as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nanticoke Indian Association Inc., 27073 John J Williams Hwy, Millsboro, De. 19966 in remembrance of Jim.
