James P. Taber's Obituary
James P. Taber, age 70, of Dimock, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. James was born on July 15, 1954, son of the late, Albert and Evelyn (McTiger) Taber.
James grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Piscataway Highschool, class of 1972. He went on to become a maintenance mechanic where he proudly worked for various industrial companies throughout his lifetime. James was a real outdoorsman, often found fishing, hiking, hunting, or canoeing. James was a member of the American Legion 154 in Montrose, PA for many years where he enjoyed spending time with the lifelong friends he made there. He was a kind and generous soul who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor and ability to make anyone feel welcomed and comfortable.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in passing by his sister, Kathleen Graichen and his nephew, Matthew Graichen. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Anne Taber; his sister, Christine Bittay (William); his brother-in-law, Edward Graichen; his nieces and nephews: Jill Nabozny (Ted), Jason Bittay (Ashley), Chad Graichen, and Todd Graichen (Jody); and his beloved Beagle, Happy.
