JAMES ROBERT WILLIAMS's Obituary
Mr. James "Jim" R. Williams, age 73 of Millsboro, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake.
Jim was born on August 27, 1942 in Takoma Park, MD to the late Russell and Dorothy Larson Williams. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his wife Beverly J. Williams in 2013, as well as a sister Anne Dillard.
Jim was most recently employed by Lowes in Millsboro. He also was employed as a plant foreman for Glidden and later Millenium Chemicals. Jim was a US Navy Veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family who he loved dearly.
He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Downes and her husband Chester of Gumboro, DE and Bethany Nelson of Dagsboro, DE; a brother, Frederick Williams of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Joseph Pierce, Daniel Stewart and wife April, and Breanna Nelson along with one great grandchild Aiden, and his best friend Linda Vollmer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where a viewing will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Chaplain Troy Dennis of Compassionate Care Hospice will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
