Jane Marie Cooper's Obituary
Jane Marie Cooper, 87, passed away peacefully at Ocean Grove in Millsboro, DE, on October 29, 2025. Born on August 26, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and lived in both Brookhaven, Pennsylvania and Selbyville, Delaware. Jane was the daughter of the late William Clark and Mary Jane Clark (Russell).
Jane was a talented and creative spirit whose hands were rarely still. She had a remarkable gift for sewing—able to make anything—and found great joy in crafting, gardening, and baking. Her home and her life reflected the warmth, beauty, and care she put into everything she created.
She is preceded in death by her late husband John Thomas Cooper, and her beloved children: June Cummings in 2023 and Mark William Appet in 2004.
Jane is survived by her daughters: Michelle Appet of Baltimore, Maryland, Robin Appet of North Carolina, and Theresa Vacca of West Chester Pennsylvania; her cherished grandchildren, Nathaniel Myers, Joseph Cummings, Michelle Cummings, and Dayna Vacca; as well as her nephew, Harrison Rose, and niece, Kimberly Rose Leibovitz.
Jane will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and steadfast love for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Interment will be held privately.
