I worked with Jan for many years at Pratt Library. She was one of the kindest and wisest people I've ever known. She was a good enough friend to let me know when I was wrong, even if it was difficult to hear. I was so happy for her when she married Marv and retired to Delaware. I had a chance to chat with her the last few months of her life. She sounded like the same Jan! Thank you, Jan, for the years of friendship.

I am proud to call her Aunt Jan. She was the one who took me to get my ears pierced for the first time. The memories that we shared will always be in my heart. We lost touch for awhile, but I was so happy to have found her again. I will miss her but I know that she is hurting anymore and she will always be in my heart and watching over me. My love and sincerest sympathies go to the family.
