Obituary for Janice V. Gerard
Janice V. Gerard, born on October 14, 1946, in Milford, Delaware, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, in the company of loved ones, at the age of 78. She was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (Joseph) Vickers.
Janice dedicated over 50 years of her life as a social worker, helping countless individuals and families in need. Outside of her work, she found joy in traveling, reading, and cooking, and was a devoted animal lover, particularly fond of dogs.
Janice was preceded in death by her loving parents and her husband, Ken Gerard, Sr. She is survived by her son, Ken Gerard, Jr.; her sister, Lois Mears (James); her brother, Louis Vickers, Jr. (Lori); and many cherished nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Janice's life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Delaware. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be private.
