JEAN ANN CHANDLER's Obituary
Mrs. Jean Ann Chandler of Pittsville, MD passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. Chandler was born in Selbyville, DE to the late Earl Wells Sr. and Mildred Smith Wells. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband George E. Banks Sr. in 1971, a step son, James Chandler, and two sisters, Mildred Stevenson and Juanita Davis.
Jean was a self-employed poultry farmer. She enjoyed shopping, taking cruises, eating, traveling, playing games, gardening, cooking and family dinners. Her door was always open and she would usually have plenty to eat for whoever may stop by. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Stanley "Freddie" Chandler of Pittsville, MD; five children, Teresa Wilkerson and her husband John of Horntown, VA; George Banks Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Willards, MD; Brenda Hill of Fruitland, MD, Barbara Banks and her fiancé Scott Fleming of Pittsville, MD, Donnie Seaton and his wife Ashlyn of Delmar, MD; four step-children, Dennis Chandler of Willards, MD, Jeff Chandler of Pittsville, MD, Steve Chandler of Pittsville, MD, and Bryan Chandler and his wife Tonya of Parsonsburg, MD. She is also survived by one brother, Earl Wells Jr. and his wife Maryjane of Princess Anne, MD; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and we cannot forget her canine friend "Sparky" and also her cats.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow in the Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery.
