Obituary of Mr. Jesse Allen Levengood: Jesse Allen Levengood, 71, of Dagsboro passed away at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE on August 20, 2014. He was born on March 9, 1943 in Pottstown, PA, the son of the late Paul E. and Marie E. Detwiler. He and his wife Mary raised seven children. Mary preceded him in death in 2012. He was a great father and grandfather and a devoted husband. He loved the Lord, and had a heart to serve Him. Jesse was a great supporter, and prayer partner for a lot of people. He held a M.A. degree in theology. He also loved to joke around, and loved being outdoors. He is survived by his seven children: Laura Bryan, of Dagsboro; Pam Root, of PA; Joseph Levengood, of Dagsboro; Edna Santiago, of PA; Elisha Nieves, of PA; a son-in-law: Kevin Bryan, of Dagsboro; and sister: Ruth Roher, of Millsboro. He leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren. He was preceded by a brother, Charles Levengood. A Memorial Service, and Celebration of his Life is scheduled for September 7, 2014 at 10:45 AM at the Dagsboro Church of God, with Pastor Kim Tephabock officiating.
