Joanne C. Subach's Obituary
Joanne Subach, 71, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away on March 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life. Joanne was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Dorothy and Edmund Chmielewski, and by her beloved husband, Frank Subach. Their marriage was one marked by deep love, partnership, and joy, and it brings comfort to know that Joanne and Frank are now reunited.
Joanne is lovingly remembered by her brothers, John (Carol) and Paul. She was a cherished aunt to her nieces, Kori-Allyn (Shamel) and Alexandra (Jamal), whom she loved and supported as if they were her own daughters. Her heart overflowed with joy for her great-nieces, Nora, Emelia, and Nia, her newest and treasured loves. She is also survived by Kimrochelle (Michael) who remained like a sister to Joanne and held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by several dear friends who were fortunate to know her kindness, loyalty, and warmth.
Joanne worked as an accountant, a career that reflected her sharp mind and lifelong passion for finances. Outside of work, she delighted in shopping, adored dogs, and found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family and friends.
Joanne will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and the deep love she shared with those closest to her. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
