John William Brittingham's Obituary
John William Brittingham, 42, passed from this life on June 13, 2024. He was born on March 6, 1982. He was the son of Joanne and Brett Dorey as well as his biological father, Karl Waples.
John graduated from Indian River High School in 2000. One of his greatest loves was playing baseball at the Roxana Pyle Center Little League. He was a devoted sports fan – especially to the Baltimore Orioles.
Most will remember John’s excellent sense of style, his charismatic energy and sociable personality, as well as his humor. John could always bring a smile and laugh to your face.
Perhaps John’s greatest gifts were his two kids, Jonathan Cole and Brielle Elizabeth Brittingham, of whom he was so proud. They have the best parts of him and he lives on through them.
In addition to his parents and children, John leaves behind his brother Hunter (Shannon) and nephew Theo, his grandparents Carolyn Robinson as well as Bill and Sandy Waples. He was also loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at HighTide Church in Dagsboro, DE on June 29, 2024. Family and friends may visit from 10-11am with services immediately following.
